Rosie & Roger welcome you to Gray's Farmhouse!

Since our arrival in 1996, restoring and tending the house and grounds has been pretty much a full- time occupation for Roger, and one he finds deeply satisfying. By contrast he also enjoys drawing and writing. He and a small group of friends regularly read their work at the Beaminster Festival and he occasionally joins Rosie in exhibiting in the Dorset Art Weeks.

Rosie meantime spends as much time as possible on her painting. She has particularly enjoyed the chance to paint frequently in France and several times in Morocco, though she also finds inspiration in the West Dorset landscape, with its deep sense of the past lying just beneath the surface. She exhibits regularly and her paintings hang in homes in many parts of the world.

Bertie joined us here soon after our arrival and much enjoys all the attention he often receives from our guests, though he has learned to understand that not all of them are dog-lovers and that he must sometimes keep a low profile!
