Gray's Farmhouse is ideally situated to explore the World Heritage Jurassic Coast of Dorset

The Jurassic Coast: World Heritage Site

To the south are beaches and golden cliffs at West Bay and Burton Bradstock, and the famous swannery at Abbotsbury. Beyond, the Chesil beach stretches to Weymouth.

To the west the magnificent roller-coaster cliff walk passes Golden Cap and on via Charmouth to Lyme Regis.

Further afield, Lulworth and the Purbecks to the east and, beyond the Dorset boundary, Beer and Branscombe to the west are just over an hour's drive.

"Of all Britain's shorelines, few throw up so many surprises in so short a space….This is England's Jurassic Park, its crumbling strata stuffed with fossils… no wonder it has been proposed as a World Heritage Site*."
