To the south are beaches at West Bay and Burton Bradstock, and the famous swannery at Abbotsbury. Beyond, the Chesil beach stretches to Weymouth.

To the west the magnificent roller-coaster cliff walk passes Golden Cap and on via Charmouth to Lyme Regis.
Further afield, Lulworth and the Purbecks to the east and, beyond the Dorset boundary, Branscombe to the west are just over an hour's drive.
